
Assistant Professor - Fine Arts
Franklin Pierce University seeks to fill a full-time Assistant Professor – Fine Arts position at its undergraduate College at Rindge, NH for the 2010-2011 academic year.
This position requires teaching all levels of painting and drawing, including watercolor and oil or acrylic painting, in an undergraduate fine arts program. The successful candidate will display a mastery of painting and drawing techniques, and a thorough grasp of the relevant art historical and contemporary contexts. Interest in K-12 art education and/or experience in teaching other studio courses including basic design are desirable. All faculty are expected to teach in the University’s distributed education curriculum, advise students, contribute to college service, and maintain a program of scholarly/creative work in their discipline.
Prior successful college teaching experience is required, as is a demonstrable commitment to undergraduate education and learning. An M.F.A. is required.
