The College of Graduate & Professional Studies (CGPS) at Franklin Pierce University announces a new, cohort-based, one-year accelerated Master of Business Administration program. Unlike the online M.B.A. program of CGPS, this course will bring students together in the classroom, where they will benefit from interaction with one another and with members of the local business community.
The program’s academic year will consist of four 12-week terms. Taking a total of 39 credits in one year will allow students to complete their M.B.A. degree more quickly than they would in traditional programs. The program’s courses focus on best business practices, leadership, and management skills development. The first class will run from May 2014 until May 2015 at the University’s newly renovated facility in the heart of downtown Manchester, where the University also hosts its full-time Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
Assistant Professor Edward French, Academic Director for CGPS business programs, said, “This is an exciting addition to the graduate business program. Students will have the benefit of face-to-face learning, will develop critical team work skills that will be accentuated through the cohort model, and will have the opportunity to network with professionals in the state’s largest city.”
Each applicant must have a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university. The M.B.A. program also requires competency in the areas of accounting, statistics, and computer skills. Franklin Pierce will award one competitive $5,000 scholarship to an exceptional student in the first class. Federal financial loans are available for U.S. students; the University’s Financial Aid staff is available to assist with the application process.
Prospective students may apply online free of charge at http://www.franklinpierce.edu/gradapply and may direct application questions to the Admissions Office at (800) 325-1090. Application deadline for May admission is March 31.
