Tomorrow morning Franklin Pierce University will be "Bern-ing" when Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders brings his campaign to the Rindge,NH campus with just a few short days to go before the New Hampshire primary. The Democratic frontrunner will appear at the fieldhouse tomorrow, Saturday, February 6 at 11:00 am. Doors will open for the event at 9am.

“We are excited to welcome Senator Sanders to Franklin Pierce,” said Andrew Card, President of Franklin Pierce University. “His visit highlights the incredible experience that Franklin Pierce students have enjoyed this election cycle and we are thrilled that our students will have to opportunity to meet and ask questions of the Democratic frontrunner in New Hampshire.”

In the most recent Franklin Pierce University/Boston Herald poll released earlier this week, Sanders had   a 20-point lead over Clinton (57%-37%) in the race for the NH Democratic primary. Additionally,  Sanders’ favorability rating climbed to 88 percent in that same poll with only nine percent of likely Democratic primary voters have an unfavorable view toward the Vermont Senator.

Sanders  was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2006 after 16 years as Vermont’s sole congressman in the House of Representatives and is currently  serving his second term in the U.S. Senate after winning re-election in 2012 with 71 percent of the vote.

Sander's visit marks the tenth presidential candidate to visit Franklin Pierce and the fourth this week. The event is free and open to the public.
