Tuesday, May 15Class of 2018 Shines on Rainy Commencement Day
Graduates, parents, faculty and guests braved the cold and rain to celebrate the 53rd Commencement at Franklin Pierce University on Saturday, May 12, 2018. The University awarded 581 doctoral, master’s, bachelor’s and associate degrees, and three special guests received honorary degrees and awards.
Tuesday, May 15OPENING A TAB: Field Hockey's Strassburg Leads Operation Can Tab
Operation Can Tab, a newly minted club on campus, focuses on collecting can tabs on and off campus, to be donated to Shriners Hospitals for Children. Shriners then sells the tabs to recycling companies and uses the proceeds to pay for the expensive surgeries and recoveries for sick and injured children. Shriners operates 22 non-profit medical facilities across North America.

Thursday, May 03Franklin Pierce University Awarded $233,800 Grant from the Davis Educational Foundation
Franklin Pierce University is pleased to announce a $233,800 grant from the Davis Educational Foundation established by Stanton and Elisabeth Davis after Mr. Davis’s retirement as chairman of Shaw’s Supermarkets, Inc. The grant will support the University’s Initiative for Digital Education for Accelerated Learning (IDEAL) and will be awarded over three years to assist with the launch and implementation of this new program that will benefit undergraduate students’ digital preparedness.
Tuesday, May 01Dr. Joshua Cleland Recognized with Highest Honor in Physical Therapy Profession
Franklin Pierce University is pleased to acknowledge Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) faculty member, Dr. Joshua Cleland for his two most recent awards. Dr. Cleland is recognized as a recipient of both the Catherine Worthingham Fellows of American Physical Therapy Award and the Dorothy Baethke- Eleanor J. Carlin Award for Excellence in Academic Teaching. Both of these prestigious awards recognize Dr. Cleland’s dedication to both teaching in academia, practice and research in the field of physical therapy.
Friday, April 27NHWHEL Spring Conference on the Rindge Campus
On Friday, April 13, President Kim Mooney welcomed nearly 150 women to the Rindge campus for the New Hampshire Women in Higher Education Leadership (NHWHEL) Spring Conference. After an initial “icebreaker” networking exercise, the attendees broke into one of four information sessions: “Women in Leadership: Professional and Personal Balance in Higher Education”, “Navigating Institutions of Higher Education as a Woman of Color”, “Change? We’ve Always Done it this Way!” or “Mentoring: Mentors for Leaders, Time Commitments, and Reverse Mentoring.”

Franklin Pierce University and the Department of Athletics welcomed Special Olympics New Hampshire to campus on Saturday, April 7, as the latter held a practice day for 50 of its Special Olympic athletes.
