  and Professional Studies. The University is currently operating at leased
  space adjacent to City Offices at 200 N. Litchfield Road, Suite 100.

New partnership to bring more health care education options to more people

Abrazo Health CareFranklin Pierce University is pleased to announce a collaboration with Abrazo Health Care of Arizona. The University and health care system have combined resources to address the critical shortage of health care practitioners in Phoenix's West Valley. This partnership will allow Franklin Pierce to offer:

  • a Pre-licensure Associate's Degree in Nursing program
  • a Doctor of Physical Therapy program

The Doctor of Physical Therapy is scheduled to begin in late 2008, with the Associate's Degree in Nursing expected to follow in Spring 2009. Both programs are pending approval by their respective accrediting agencies. The nursing and physical therapy programs will be offered at the West Valley Learning Center in Goodyear, which includes state-of-the-industry simulation labs and all the equipment required for students to gain the skills needed for effective patient care in today's growing health industry.

University signs 99-year lease for City Center space

City Center renderingFranklin Pierce University has signed a 99-year lease with Goodyear to build and operate a campus on 20 acres in the planned City Center. "This represents another milestone in what we expect will be a long and productive partnership with Goodyear to create a vibrant City Center and meet the education and training needs of West Valley residents," said George J. Hagerty, University president. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2010 and will completed in several phases.
