Master of EducationFranklin Pierce University's graduate teacher education programs include Master of Education degrees and certification options for those who have a bachelor's degree and have never taught, as well as for those who are already certified and want to advance in their profession.

Graduates of the Master of Education program at Franklin Pierce are prepared to be caring and supportive teachers in a standards-based environment that stresses accountability and excellence. The program is solidly based on "best practices" research that integrates the most current knowledge about technology, state and federal standards, multiple ways of learning, alternative assessment, reflective practice, and more.

Students can earn a Master of Education degree or Master of Education degree with Certification in the following areas:

  • Elementary Education (K-8)
  • Middle/Secondary Education in Life Sciences (7-12), English (5-12) or Social Studies (5-12)
  • General Special Education (K-12)
  • M.Ed.-only in Curriculum and Instruction (with an optional Literacy focus)


Accelerated Master of Education and Certification Options

Accelerate your course of study to complete your master's degree in as few as 12 - 18 months. M.Ed.-only coursework can be scheduled to be completed in just 12 months. Or complete your M.Ed. plus Teacher Certification in just 18 months. All courses are delivered in a 100% online format.
