“I have always thought a travesty that any University could operate without a proper theater with a professional stage and plenty of seating.  Not only would it be in the interests of the Dance, Music and Theater departments, but it is also important for hosting events with politicians and other public speakers and giving addresses to large amounts of the student body.  I remember this being one of my biggest annoyances that I had with FPU when I went there. Trying to cram people into Cheney or the black box theater always seemed so unprofessional."-Rose F.

“I agree that we needed a theater. And we didn't have the black box when I was there, just the Ravencroft and the field house. I get that it's tough to raise money to build for arts rather than sports, but I do wish we had a more up to date theater space."-Jill A. '95

"A better/new 'campus center,' student union, recreation hall - whatever you want to call it. A central location where you can have students on couches, a lounge area, pool tables and a place where you can grab coffee, a snack, watch tv, news, and sports. An open easy flowing center, building, hall, area-whatever, that can encourage students to leave their rooms and hangout. Some place that is more appealing than the Alumni Lounge, the Pub, or going to the top of the 'Bubble' to play pool, bringing all of these concepts together to one centralized location, area, that has a flow and easy access for students." -Nicholas P.

"I absolutely agree with the suggestion of a real theater. I also think that our library is in desperate need of being updated with more spaces for individual and group study. Perhaps we could even have a coffee cart or something in there to make it more comfortable for working." - Maribeth C.

Maybury will present "Forty Years in the Wilderness with Franklin Pierce: A Joyful Pilgrimage," a gently satiric meditation on the exquisite humanity he was privileged to witness over his long tenure at the school. The 1st Annual Women in Sports Dinner will be hosted at Franklin Pierce University on Friday, April 26, 2013 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Spagnuolo Hall.  This year marks the 40th anniversary of Title IX; a special Sports Banquet is being created for women and girls in sports to commemorate this great milestone. Join Franklin Pierce Alumni, Faculty, Students, and Staff at the Northeast Delta Dental Stadium to watch the New Hampshire Fisher Cats take on the Erie SeaWolves.  An all-you-can-eat buffet dinner and private reception area will be available to attendees starting at 5:30 p.m. in the 3rd Base Party Deck.  Seats to the game are located in the 3rd Base section, and there will be an Atlas Fireworks display after the game.  Tickets are only $35!
